Directors

Brian E. Hiebert

Mr. Hiebert has had extensive experience in managing several private E&P oil and gas companies. He has served as CEO for Leland Energy Ltd, Watford Energy Ltd, Markwest Hydrocarbons Inc and B&G Energy Ltd. All companies have been successful explorers in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, adding significant reserves and value to their shareholders. Prior experience includes 14 years at Chevron Canada Resources where he worked as a geophysicist, geologist and several roles in management.

Mr. Hiebert earned a Bachelor of Geologic Engineering (with a Geophysics option) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1980.

Kyle D. Kitagawa

Mr. Kitagawa brings over 20 years experience in commodity trading, equity investing, and structured finance in both energy and energy intensive industries. Prior to April 2003, he held senior executive positions in a global energy trading and capital corporation. Currently, Mr. Kitagawa serves as Chairman of Canadian Energy Services LP and Coral Hill Energy Ltd. and is a Director of Zargon Energy Trust.  Prior directorships included Advanced Mobile Power Systems, LLC, Esprit Exploration Ltd., Ferus Trust, Independent Energy Ltd.,  Invasion Energy Inc.,, Livingston Energy Ltd., Papier Masson Ltee. and Wave Energy Ltd.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant.

Ian MacGregor

Mr. MacGregor is a partner of North West Capital Inc., a private investment firm active in Alberta's energy industry.  North West and other investment companies in which he has substantial interests have been founding or major shareholders in a number of significant Calgary based companies including: Ultima Energy Trust, Big Country Pipelines, Calfrac Well Services, Solex Energy, Taylor Gas Liquids, North West Upgrading, Shackelton Exploration, Enhance Energy, Vista Broadcasting and the Carraig Ridge Conservation Community.

Mr. MacGregor is Chairman of North West Upgrading Inc., a company building a $15 billion upgrading and refining complex producing ultra low sulfur diesel from bitumen located near Red Water, Alberta.  It is the world's first upgrader or refinery to incorporate integrated CO2 management.

Mr. MacGregor is also Chairman of Enhance Energy Ltd., a company engaged in carbon dioxide capture and storage.  Enhance is far advanced in implementing the world's largest CCS project, the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL).  When in full operation ACTL will provide an emissions solution to oil sands upgrading and refining in Alberta's Industrial Heartland by transporting and securely storing more than 14 million tonnes per year of CO2 in hydrocarbon reservoirs throughout southern Alberta.

Mr. MacGregor is the owner of a significant real estate development, Carraig Ridge, which is located on a large parcel of land, west of Calgary close to Banff National Park.

Mr. MacGregor also serves on the Board of Enmax Energy, the local electrical distribution company owned by the City of Calgary, with annual revenues in excess of $2 billion and on the boards of a number of public, private and charitable organizations.  He is the primary benefactor and curator of the Canadian Museum of Making.  He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary.

In his spare time, Mr. MacGregor is active in the operation of a cattle ranch located between Calgary and Banff.

John W. Rossall

Mr. Rossall has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of ProspEx since inception in 2004.  He has over 25 years of oil and gas exploration and production experience, the majority of which has been spent in the deep basin gas trend in Alberta and British Columbia.  Prior to joining ProspEx, Mr. Rossall was Vice President, North Business Unit at Burlington Resources Canada.  Prior to his experience at Burlington, Mr. Rossall spent 11 years at Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd. in a succession of technical and management roles, and led Canadian Hunter's Deep Basin business at the time of the acquisition of Canadian Hunter by Burlington Resources.

Mr. Rossall earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering) Degree from the University of Waterloo and later attended the Harvard Business School.  Mr. Rossall is a Professional Engineer and a member of APEGGA.


Stephen J. Savidant

Mr. Savidant is an independent businessman and Chairman of the ProspEx Board of Directors.  He has 33 years of industry experience including 16 years with Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd. where he became President and CEO, and four years with Esprit Energy Trust as President and CEO and from which he retired in 2006.  Mr. Savidant is currently a director of two public companies other than ProspEx, Empire Company Limited and Toromont Industries Ltd.

Mr. Savidant has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and an MBA, both from McGill University.
